The renaissance of psychedelic research has put psychedelic substances back into the mainstream media, and the discussion about its uses and potential. The focus on psychedelics' promising therapeutic effects has caught most of the attention, and many clinical trials are researching the use of these substances to treat certain psychological conditions. At the same time, the general public has become more and more interested in self-experimentation and shamanism has become a global trend amongst seekers. The use of psychedelics by this population is mostly focused around the therapeutic potential, and many who approach these substances do it hoping to get healing from them. While all this happens, new challenges related to this globalization start to surface. In this talk we will share some ideas about these challenges, and the pitfalls we can encounter in the psychedelic path.

Renesancia psychedelického výskumu dostala psychedelické látky naspäť do médií spolu s diskusiou o ich využití a potenciáli. Zameranie na sľubné terapeutické účinky psychedelík zachytilo väčšinu pozornosti, a mnohé klinické skúšania skúmajú využitie týchto látok na liečbu určitých psychologických ťažkostí. Zároveň sa verejnosť začala viac a viac zaujímať o individuálne experimentovanie a zo šamanizmu sa stal medzi hľadačmi globálny trend. Užívanie psychedelík touto populáciou je zväčša zamerané na ich terapeutický potenciál a mnohí, ktorí k ním pristupujú, dúfajú v ich liečivý efekt. Kým sa toto všetko deje, začínajú sa zjavovať nové výzvy spojené s touto globalizáciou. V tejto prednáške budeme zdieľať niektoré myšlienky o týchto výzvach a pasce, na ktoré môžeme natrafiť na psychedelickej ceste.
